The Inherent Treatment Plan in Long Tide and Dynamic Stillness

Where the mid-tide is an embodied expression of the Breath of Life with potency acting as a powerful organizing, protective, and healing force within the fluids, long tide has a more airy and fiery quality. It is in a sense more about space and energy than about embodied form, although potency is also about energy, or “bioenergy,” as Becker called it.128

At the level of long tide, an inertial fulcrum being chosen feels different than at the mid-tide level. There may be a sense of windlike forces or radiant light entering the system from some mysterious place outside the body. They may seem to enter the midline, work on a specific fulcrum, usually with quick resolution, and then move on to another fulcrum or to return to the vast field from whence it came. It is powerful, purposeful, and Intelligent. Again, the practitioner’s role is to deepen, resonate, and witness in a supportive way. There is not much to do here! Often at a long-tide level, the client also feels deeply settled. Remember that long tide is not affected by personal history. Working at this level, the client is unlikely to be overwhelmed by past trauma. There is usually more of a sense of peace and coherence. As fulcrums are resolved, the entire system reorganizes and realigns, as with mid-tide healing processes. From long tide, there may also be a sense of potency arising to work within the more embodied level of mid-tide and fluid body. This is not a linear, delineated process. The three bodies or fields are intertwined, one suspended within the other, each being a stepping down or transmutation of another. The treatment plan can easily move between these levels. As practitioners, it is helpful to be able to hold and witness the process by resting in dynamic stillness, being able to perceive and meet each level as it presents.

At any point, the system may deepen into dynamic stillness. The inherent treatment plan can unfold from within dynamic stillness as it interacts with embodied form, including inertial fulcrums. The healing process here does not lend itself easily to verbal description, as it is even less linear and form-oriented than at the mid-tide and long-tide levels. There is a sense of something happening or having happened in the stillness. Upon emerging from the stillness, it becomes apparent that various inertial fulcrums have resolved, although the exact steps of their resolution may not be obvious.

Dynamic stillness can have a sense of emptiness, even darkness, or profound lightness, where details of form are no longer apparent or important. It is as if they come back into form in a different way upon emerging from the stillness. My sense is that in stillness our form dissolves and can then re-form differently.

Dynamic stillness may come forward and recede during the session. Issues may be resolved during the stillness. Mid-tide with its potency or long tide with its windlike or light forces may then arise and continue with the healing process.
